Kara Chen


Kara has been living in Central Pennsylvania for over 20 years. She graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as the concertmaster of the orchestra, captain of the Varsity Tennis Team, and 3rd in her class. Kara then accepted a full 4-year tuition, room and board scholarship to Juniata College, where she was the concertmaster of the orchestra for four years, played singles and doubles for the college’s Women’s Tennis Team, and double-majored in Pre-Medicine and Theatre. In college, Kara toured Europe with the prestigious Concert Choir, won the 2007 Miss Teen PA modeling contest, and was a member of both the cycling and equestrian teams. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009 and accepted a scholarship to study medicine at Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey.

Kara has one son and is married to a physician-to-be. She currently leads a wedding/events string quartet, tutors students in ACT/SAT/AP courses, and volunteers as a nursery leader at church. Also a Certified Healthcare Provider and fluent in three languages, Kara tries to find time to rock climb, swing dance, ride horses, bake, read and write fantasy, and take LSAT exams for fun.
